Those two enthusiastic wishes
neatly express the joy and warmth of the music on this compact disc
presenting a wide range of music from the 16th century to the present.
The first two tracks are
very special, indeed! They are Latin settings by two early Baroque
composers, one Italian and one German, which call for two distinct choirs in
a "call and answer" style before joining together for some truly spectacular
8-part singing.
Among the remaining titles
are some of the most memorable music of the season, some old and some new.
"O Holy Night" and "Gesu Bambino" are holiday gems. John Williams'
music from "Home Alone" and the every-popular "Go Tell It On The Mountain"
will have you tapping your toes and humming along!
