Accompanist Diane Meier Snider has been the Virginia
Choral Society accompanist for the past three years.

Diane
Meier Snider is the Director of Music and Organist at First United Church of
Christ in Hampton, Virginia. She holds both the Bachelor and Master of
Music degrees in Organ Performance from Westminster Choir College, where she
studied organ with Joan Lippincott and Eugene Roan. As accompanist to
the Westminster Oratorio Choir, she was privileged to work with noted Haydn
scholar, H. C. Robbins Landon, and jazz musician Dave Brubeck. Ms.
Snider also studied organ with Marie-Claire Alain at the Conservatoire
National de Rιgion in Rueil-Malmaison, France, and has given numerous
recitals as both solo artist and accompanist. |
Ms.
Snider has served as Organist/Choir Director, Preschool, Elementary and
Middle School Music Teacher, and College Music History Instructor in
churches and schools in Virginia, New Jersey, Ohio, Arkansas, and Paris,
France, and has had articles published in The American Organist and the
Choristers Guild Letters. She is presently a member of The American
Guild of Organists, The United Church of Christ Musicians National Network,
Inc. and is listed in the 60th Diamond Edition of Who's Who in America.
